Jianna McCormick passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, at the age of 65 in Fort Worth, TX.
Born on August 5, 1959, in Sherman, TX, to John and Marian (Wilson) Duke. Jianna dedicated her life
to the field of education, retiring from Granbury ISD. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion
that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved husband, George McCormick, Jr., her son Keith McCormick and
daughter-in-law Carly McCormick, as well as her adored grandchildren Cambria and Barron
McCormick. Jianna is also survived by her brother-in-law David McCormick, sister-in-law Deannah
McCormick, and sister-in-law Cheryl Rhoades. Jianna is also survived by numerous nieces and
nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews and her two cats BW and Pumpkin.
In honor of her life, a Memorial Service will be held on October 26, 2024, at Bluff Dale Baptist Church
at 11:00 AM, where friends and family will come together to reminisce and celebrate Jianna's life.
Prior to the service, a visitation will take place on October 25, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Stephenville
Funeral Home.
Jianna's kindness and passion for education touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all
who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will
continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
Jianna was preceded in death by her parents; John Duke and Marian Duke, and her sisters; Julie
McCrary and DeLaine Bell.
