Lagread M. Harris Obituary

Mrs. Lagread McCluster Harris passed on October 14, 2024. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 1 PM at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church 815 Fox Street NW Atlanta Pastor Darrell Edwards, Officiating. Interment, Southview Cemetery.  Viewing will be held at the Donehoo-Lewis Funeral Home 736 South Central Avenue Hapeville on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 1 PM - 5 PM.

Lagread McCluster Harris was born February 26, 1967 to the late Hoyt and Elnoria McCluster. She was known affectionately by her family as Gertta and Nana by her grand kids. Lagread’s family moved to Atlanta when she was a young girl. She attended Jefferson Street Elementary and Parks Middle School. She grew up in a large family and family meant everything. She worked for over 18 years at the Best Western Hotel as a Housekeeper and Master Chef.

She met the love of her life and they married. This love and devotion with the late Ronnie Harris, united their families as one.

On October 14, 2024, God removed Lagread from this walk of life leaving to cherish her memories four daughters, Audra, Ronisha, Lagretta, Dorothy; one son, Jaron;  siblings, Dorothy, Kathyrn, John, Horace; brother in law, Roycecil; sister in law, Bernice (Ed);15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; friends, Patrice Ragland, Sharon Prater, Amy Ross; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
