Evelyn Yanira Joya. Also known as Mom, Mama, Tita, Tia, Eve and Ug, passed away on January 22, 2017. She leaves behind 2 beautiful girls Yanira and Yesenia. She was the beloved daughter of Carlos & Ana Joya and was the sister of Carlos Jr, Ana, Ledy, Doug and Charlene. She was born on November 5th, 1959 and grew up in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. She attended Monroe Elementary, Luther Burbank Middle School, and graduated from Balboa High School in 1977. She was a wonderful stay at home mom and also worked at a doctors office in South San Francisco. You could recognize her by her huge smile and loving personality. You could find her at home watching her favorite action movies, scary movies, Disney movies, or TV shows accompanied by her favorite frozen yogurt or snacks. She also loved being with her family or hanging out with her daughters. Evelyn loved anything and everything purple, it was her favorite color. She was a huge fan of Donald Duck and enjoyed collecting Disney figurines as well as Pandora charms. She was young at heart and always made sure she was the life of the party. She had no issues staying up with the kids and making it known she wasn't "too" old. She loved music and dancing and there was rarely a time where she wasn't listening to Elvis or the Beatles, Salsa music or her favorite 70s jams. Evelyn has touched the hearts of many and her beautiful soul will be truly missed forever.
