Funeral services for Molly Frances Harp Brown 89, of Haynesville, LA will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Haynesville Community Church with Bro. Tim Cole officiating.  Interment will be in the Old Town Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Haynesville, LA

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the church.

Molly was born June 28, 1935, in Haynesville, LA and passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Heritage Nursing Center.

She was a member of the Haynesville Community Church where she had served as treasurer and was formerly on the Old Town Cemetery board.  Molly worked for several years as secretary at the LA Army Ammunition Plant in Minden and later went to work for LP&L from which she retired. She and her husband were former members of the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Sparkman and husband Jerry, two granddaughters, the joys of her life, Mandy Sparkman and Jamie Sparkman, sister, Linda Alexander, sister-in-law, Anita Brown, lifetime special friend, Barbara Bailey, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Pat Brown, Kent Toney, Alan Serjeant, Bob Bond, Dan Ware, Terry Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Brown and Joe Tannehill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James C. “Jim” Harp and Cornelia “Toy” Bright Harp, husband, Delton Harvey Brown.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Heritage Nursing Center, Bristol Hospice, Jennifer Franklin, Dr. Samuel Abshire and Bro. Tim Cole.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Haynesville Community Church.
