William "Jeff" Jeffrey Sexton, 71, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024. Born in Springfield, IL, he was the son of the late Rose Liston and James Sexton, Sr. and the husband of Deborah Susan Martin-Sexton of forty-four years. He was retired from Cryovac after 28 years as a Safety Engineer.
Jeff was a stalwart man, and he shared his countless talents with those around him. His intelligent wit and humorous sarcasm kept everyone on their toes. He was an incredible stained glass artist; a published author of both fiction and nonfiction; celebrated baker of Christmas cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and biscotti; and proud caretaker of the most lush Zoysia grass you’ve ever seen. He will continue to light up rooms around the world for decades to come in the form of his stained glass creations.
Survivors also include three daughters, Amy Losher and husband, Jimmy, Scotia Shadbolt and husband, Chad and Clair Dunn and husband, Christian; a brother, Gregory Sexton; a sister, Patricia Sweeney; and a grandchild, Alexander Grant.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Joan Sexton; a brother, James Sexton; and two sisters, Kathleen Jones and Mary Elizabeth Patterson.
Funeral Services will be held at 3PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Stribling Funeral Home Chapel.
