Paul M. Moses Sr., age 69, of Placedo, TX, passed in the early morning hours on Monday, October 14,2024, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital. He was born in Texas City on May 13, 1955, to Lenard and Betty (Johnson) Moses Sr.

He met and married a lovely lady by the name of Kathy, and they were married on March 28, 1983, in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. They would begin their journey together in Placedo, TX, starting a family and staying devoted to each other until his passing. Paul had set up his home in Placedo where he lived for over 50 years. He travelled all over the United States working as a Union pipefitter. Paul was a self-taught avid musician and loved to play the bass guitar, but he could play almost anything and sing as well. Paul was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitter Union. He was also affiliated with the Baptist Church. He was a hard worker with a strong work ethic and wherever he travelled he met new friends, and all will surely miss him. Paul was very proud of his family and loved all the time spent creating wonderful memories that they can now treasure all the time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Carol Moses Burney, and two brothers, Lenard Moses Jr. and James Moses.

Those left behind to mourn his passing are his wife, Kathy, his daughters Miranda Garza and Kelsey Moses, and two sons, Paul Moses Jr. and wife April, and Joshua Patrick Moses. Paul was very fortunate to be blessed with 11 grandchildren. His passing will leave a hole in the hearts of many, but the comfort of knowing that he is now in the realms of heaven will hopefully heal the emptiness from his passing.

There is to be a Celebration of Life Ceremony to be held on Saturday, November 9,2024 at 1 o’clock at the Placedo Volunteer Fire Department. Everyone who was touched by this wonderful man can honor him at the service for his dedication to his work, his faith, but most of all his devotion to family and friends.
