Joshua Patrick Manis Obituary

Joshua Patrick Manis, 35, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024. He was a dedicated Physician’s Assistant, graduating from LMU, and devoted his career to caring for his community, with a special interest in Orthopedics.

A member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church, Josh’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. He loved the Lord and his country deeply. However, his greatest joy came from being a father. His daughters and family were his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them. An outdoor enthusiast, Josh found happiness in hunting, fishing, snowboarding, and riding dirt bikes. He was also a passionate supporter of Tennessee Football, proudly cheering for his team. Josh will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry “Don” Manis; paternal grandparents, Irene and Connor Manis; uncles, Jerry Manis and Jim Lewis.

Josh is survived by his mother, Teresa Manis; mother of his children, Chelsey Manis; children, Kenley and Lakelyn Manis; G-Diddy, Kenny Sutton; sister, Rachel Manis; nephews, Wesley Moore and Zackary Anderson; half-brother, Michael Welch and wife, Chrissy; grandmother, Nancy Stapleton; aunts and uncles, Jimmy and Debbie Manis, Keith and Virginia Manis, Elizabeth Manis, and Patricia Littrell; cousins, Daniel and Rhonda Manis, David and Jessica Manis, Scott and Kayla Lewis, Kylie and Matthew Price, Melissa and Bob Peeples, Shawn Manis, and Devin Manis; and a host of extended loving family members and many friends.

Josh felt empathic and compassionate regarding the recovery of his hometown Fairview, NC and helping support the Reynolds Community. Memorial donations are encouraged to be made at https://acrhsptsa.betterworld.org/campaigns/HurricaneHeleneRelief.
