MARY CLARK Obituary

Mary Ann Clark sun rose on November 8,1942 in Miami Florida.  She was the seventh child of fourteen children born to the late Jonathan and Lillie Mae Clark.
Mary attended Mays High School. She graduated in the Class of 1960.
Mary was a beautician. Upon her graduation from high school, Mary attended Sunlight Beauty School. She did her internship at Lucille’s Beauty Shop (her Aunt) in Homestead and became a License Cosmetologist.
Mary worked with Miami Dade County Schools Transportation for 40 years.  She was a bus driver and later became a Supervisor until she retired.
Mary was the cook for the family.  She loved spending time with family and friends, especially after church on Sunday afternoons.
Mary accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and she served in the church as the Heritage Care Leader,  member of the  Praise Team,  and other auxiliaries in the church.
Mary was a unique person.  She was the matriarch of the family, and she made sure that her family came first.   She was quiet, soft-spoken, laid-back but she got her points across.  She enjoyed cooking.  She prepared dinner for the family every Sunday.  She enjoyed decorating for every holiday, especially for Christmas and shopping for her grandchildren and niece (Harmony).  She loved singing and traveled with her church choir, the Homestead Tabernacle Choir.  Her favorite tv shows were black and white western movies.

At midnight on Monday, October 14th, 2024, Mary closed her eyes and transitioned peacefully in her sleep to her new home in Glory.  “Absent from the body but present with the Lord.”

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Colleen Renee Clark, and son, Vincent Anthony Williams, her brothers, Jonathan (Dorothy) and Michael, her sisters, Debbra, Matie, Carolyn Clark Hann, and Colleen.  Her grandchildren, Valencia Williams, Vincent Williams Jr., Victoria Wiliams, Vernecia Williams, Kendyl Williams, Khayla Williams and Keianna Williams. Seven great-grandchildren; Jessica, Jessaria, Je’Liyah. Avianna, Ayanna ,and Travon. Eleven Nieces and Eleven Nephews; Cousins from Nassau Bahamas, Alma Rolle, Vernie Newbold, Deborah Clarke, Carlean and many more; Avis Brown, Verthelia Wellington, Nathaniel Lloyd, Rollice Clarke, Brady Clarke, Norman Clark, and a host of relatives and friends.
