Dolores Gmuca Obituary

It is with great sadness that the Gmuca Family announce the passing of their beloved Matriarch, Dolores

“Dolly” Irene Gmuca who died on October, 14 2024 at the age of 81.

Dolly was born on June 25, 1943 to James and Irene Mc Ilwain in Spangler, PA

She was preceded in death by both parents, and her husband, Francis “Frank” Gmuca in 2000

Dolly is survived by her four children: Rhonda Craig, DeAnna (Tim) Holby, Frank (Linda) Gmuca, and

Melissa (Kevin) Stoner.

She was a proud MeMa to ten grandchildren: Amanda Jo, Nicole, Ashley, Tyler, Haley, Frankie, Kylee,

Kassidy, Chloe, and Matthew. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Keegan, Zoey, and

Amato. She also leaves behind her furry companion, Leo and her friends/neighbors at Primrose.

Dolly was a lifelong resident of Indiana County where she and Frank raised their children. In recent

years she moved to North Versailles to be closer to family.

In her prime, Dolly was a devoted Mother and Wife. She could cook, bake, and can with the best of

them. She had a love for the ocean, and her collection of seashells fills containers all through out her

apartment. Cardinals sure did make her smile, and she would keep watch for them to appear in her

window.

She always looked forward to phone calls and visits by family and friends.

The viewing will be private. A funeral mass is scheduled for Friday, October 18 th at 10:00 am at

St Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana to which all are welcome to attend.

Interment will follow in St Bernard Cemetery resting beside her beloved Frank.
