Jacqueline “Jackie” Cumpston, age 81 of Fairborn, passed away Monday October 14, 2024 at the Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 15, 1943 in Letcher, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Henison and Gertrude (Caudill) Hays.
Jackie was active and enjoyed being involved at Maple Heights Baptist Church and she had been employed with Combs Interiors for 20 plus years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ron in March of this year, and siblings, Henison Hays Jr., Ada Combs, Ruth Anne Jodry, Norma Jeanne Hays, and James Hays. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca (Randy) Knight, Laura Senter; grandchildren, Hunter Knight, Elijah Knight; brothers, Watson (Darla) Hays, Wilson (Judy) Hays; cousin, Tom (Steve) Combs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Monday October 21, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Chris Tannreuther officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association -or- Maple Heights Baptist Church.
