William David Kennedy (1968–2024)
William David Kennedy, 56, of the Austin area, passed away in October 2024. Born on June 25, 1968, David was a devoted father, son, and friend, known for his caring heart, giving spirit, and remarkable resilience.
He is survived by his parents, Glenda and David Mikeska; his sister, Elizabeth Mikeska-Benfield; his brother, Paul Kennedy; his son, Nathan Kennedy; his daughter, Eustolia Delavega, and her husband, Paul Womack; and his beloved granddaughter, Mallory Womack.
David spent his life working in mechanics and driving tow trucks, building a reputation as someone who could fix anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was passionate about restoring old cars and motorcycles, a craft he shared generously with others. His love for machines was only surpassed by his love for people, and he touched many lives through his work and kindness.
David overcame numerous hardships with the same strength and determination that defined him. After breaking his back at a young age, he went on to survive multiple bike wrecks, and even walked away from a tow truck accident involving a train—a testament to his unbreakable spirit.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of generosity, resilience, and passion will live on in those who loved him.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with the Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park, Texas. Reception to immediately follow in the Beck reception room.
Arrangements entrusted to Beck Funeral Home, 1700 E. Whitestone, Cedar Park, TX 78613 (512) 259-1610.
