John C. "Roy" Furlow, age 77, of Picayune, MS, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 12 Shorty Burgess Road, Picayune, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery (200 Bryan Street) in Slidell under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Bob will officiate the service.

A native of Hazelhurst, MS, he was a Marble/Granite Mason and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Furlow and Eva Walker Furlow; grandson, Chad Bossier; brothers, Robert Furlow and Pete Whittington; sisters, Ida Porter, Margie Gardner, and Bobbie Raines.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 devoted years, Doris Morgan Furlow; daughters, Kim Lorraine Bossier and Nicole Marie (Craig) Dudley; grandchildren, Joshua Dudley, Ashley Bossier, Lindsey Dudley, and Hannah Dudley; great-granddaughters, Evalynn Bossier and Ila Rose Studdard; brother, Cecil "Lavan" Furlow; numerous nieces and nephews.
