Antonette J. LaRocca Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Antonette (Toni) LaRocca, 71, on October 14, 2024.

Born on October 19, 1952, Toni spent her childhood in the Ducktown neighborhood of Atlantic City, NJ, later settling in Linwood, where she lovingly raised her family. A proud graduate from Holy Spirit High School, she immediately pursued her passion for beauty, beginning her career at her aunt’s salon, Piccolo’s, in Atlantic City. Her true artistry radiated through her work with hair, and she fulfilled her dream by owning and operating her own salon, Maria Nicole Salon, in Northfield for over 15 years.

Toni was a beacon of love and strength, always putting her children first. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were evident in everything she did. She was the heart of her family, creating a warm home filled with laughter, kindness, and countless cherished memories.

Toni is survived by her loving husband, Mark LaRocca; her devoted daughters, Maria LaRocca Zuwiala (Vincent) of Media, PA and Nicole LaRocca (Gabriel Maciolek) of Wyndmoor, PA; her brother, Ralph Purri (Carol) of Havertown, PA; and her three cherished grandchildren, Vincent and Avery Zuwiala and Christian Maciolek. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Antonette Purri, and her brother, Michael Purri.

Toni’s creativity, vibrance, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Royal Suites in Galloway, NJ, for the nurturing care they provided over the past five years.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 24th, starting at 10 A.M., followed by a Mass at 11 A.M., at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Avenue in Linwood. Burial will be private.
