Mary Ann (Dorton) Bartrom Lindemuth, 78 of Silver Point, Tennessee passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at her home after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
Mary was born Saturday, May 25, 1946 in Muncie, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late John F. Dorton and the late Bertha G. (Rooney) Dorton.
Mary was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend.
Mary is survived by her husband Bob “Lindy” Lindemuth; son, Stephen Bartrom; step daughter, Yvette Taylor and her husband Tim; two sisters, Susan Evans, and Patty Nixon and her husband Jay; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
She was in the furniture business for many years, an interior decorator, and a talented artist. She enjoyed scuba diving, canoeing, and hiking. She and Lindy traveled the USA in their RV for four years. Mary was loved by those who knew her and will be missed.
Mary’s artistic philosophy was: “the continued loss of wildlife habitat saddens me, and I paint to capture and share the beauty of these wonderful creatures. If my work causes you to feel the need to protect wildlife and preserve what remains of our ‘natural places’, then I have achieved the goal of sharing my passion”.
Mary chose cremation. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at www.lbda.org
