Betty D. Shows, 80, while surrounded by her family, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her home in Seminary. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Jesse Bryant Cemetery with a visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at the cemetery.

Betty had attended Providence Baptist Church. She had worked retail sales for many years and retired from Dillard’s after twenty years of service. She loved gardening and growing a variety of flowers. When she had the opportunity, she loved to go antique shopping. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Shows; parents, Bud and Palmae Ellis, Sr.; a grandson, Logan Shows; four brothers, Charles Mooney, Ralph Mooney, Junior Ellis, Clyde Ellis; two sisters, Mary Alice Ellis and Wanda Wilson.

She is survived by her son, Chad (Mandy) Shows of Seminary; three brothers, Howard (Shirley) Ellis, Billy Wayne Ellis, Doyle (Barbara) Ellis, all of Seminary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
