Rita Dianne Stone Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rita Stone, at the age of 60. She lost her battle with cancer and passed with her children, grandchildren, and sister by her side on 10-14-2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Edgewood.

She was born on March 8th to Charles and Ella Peelman. She had a full and giving life. She loved to help everyone. Be it her colleagues while working at the Kroger plant or her siblings with anything they were facing. She lived her life for her love of her grandkids, volunteering countless hours to give them the best opportunities. She deepened family relationships and developed many friends with her time with her favorite volunteer group. She just wanted to help anyway she could.

She is survived by her children Glen Wilhoit (Angela) and Lori Lawrence (Jason). Grandchildren Alexandria, Jocelyn, Addisyn, and Carter. Siblings Vivian Norris (Dale) and Karen Dewar (Walter). Aunts and Uncles and many nieces and nephews. She joins in heaven her husband Darryl, her parents, siblings Mary, Randy, Edward, Gary, and nephew Dylan.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life gathering at Delhi Township Glen Carder Lodge, 5125 Foley Road, Delhi Park, Cincinnati, OH 45238 on Monday October 28th from 4:00 - 7:30 pm. Donations can be made to Camp Ernst in lieu of flowers to help less fortunate kids get to camp by visiting https://myycamp.org/donors/
