Phyllis Cirullo of Hillsborough, NJ, passed away on October 14, 2024. Beloved mother of John and the late Luisa. Beloved grandmother of Diana, Stephanie & Christine. She is survived by her son John, his wife Laurie and their three children. Born Filippa LaGanga in New York City and raised in Mistretta, Sicily. Returned to the United States by herself at the age of 18 and lived most of her adult life in Brookyn, NY where she met the love of her life, Giovanni, attending an English language class at New Utrecht High School. They were later married and had two children. She was an extraordinarily talented seamstress as well. She loved Italian culture, cooking and music and travelled to back to Italy frequently to reunite with her family during the summer months to celebrate the Feast of San Sebastiano, the patron saint of her hometown. She was self determined, courageous and loving and will forever be missed and remembered fondly by family and friends.
