LeGretha Yarbrough, age 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, in La Porte, Texas. She was born on September 2, 1927, to the late Archie Neal and Ola Lee Doucette Gunter in Batson, Texas.

A kind-hearted and devoted mother, LeGretha lovingly raised four children. She also found joy in ceramics and gardening, spending much of her time nurturing both her family and her creative passions.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Archie Neal and Ola Lee Gunter, and her beloved husband, Weldon Yarbrough Sr.

LeGretha leaves behind her cherished children, Jeanell Roden, Patricia Cumberland, Ray Neil Weeks, and Weldon Yarbrough Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Leslie Carter Jr., Renee Locatius, Wesley Yarbrough, Jennifer Yarbrough, and Misty Kaman; and her great-grandchildren, Trevor Freeman, Sarah Freeman, Hunter Yarbrough, Camryn Yarbrough, Kiersten Yarbrough, and Leyla Kaman.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Allison Funeral Service Chapel, located at 1101 N. Travis St., Liberty, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Brother Jeff Day. The burial and committal service will take place immediately after at Guedry Cemetery.

LeGretha will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
