Victoria “Vicki” Grace Ashton, 79, of Loves Park, IL, was reunited with her husband on Monday, October 14, 2024.  Born October 12, 1945, Rockford, IL, the daughter of Evert and Wilma (Ripley) Anderson.  Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1963.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College, Chicago, IL, in 1990.  Married Richard Ashton in Loves Park on May 9, 1964.  Mom had an infinite amount of love and generosity for her husband, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.  Vicki was a creative writer and had a love of fine arts.  She enjoyed her cats, chocolate, nature, traveling, and touring the National Parks.  Survivors include her daughters, Rena (Louis) Ashton-Schlickman, and Rinelle (Brent) Culver; grandchildren, Cody (Kelsie) Culver, Casey (fiancé, Brianna Richards) Culver, and Breanna Culver; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Ashton, Casen, and Miller; sister, Nancy (Joseph) Marchese; special relative, Gary (Jane) Anderson; many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents; husband, Richard on May 5, 2024; and many siblings.

Service at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 12:30 p.m. to service time.  Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
