Charles R “Bob” Shemory, Sr., 81, of Honey Grove, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born June 22, 1943 in Walker Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Charles L. and Della (Bookwalter) Shemory.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Bonnie L (Fultz) Shemory, whom he married Nov. 12, 1966, one son, Bob Shemory and wife, Jennifer, two grandchildren, Naomi and Wyatt Shemory, his dog, Buddy, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Brian K. Shemory on Aug. 10, 1998, two sisters, Mary Orris and Ruth Sutter, and one brother, Dennis Shemory.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Army.
He worked at Empire Kosher Poultry as a supervisor for 42 years before retiring.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling to Benezette to see the elk. He took great delight in tormenting telemarketers when they called. But most of all, he loved his family, and especially being with his grandchildren.
His graveside service at Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal, with Pastor Casey Hostler officiating will be private.
