Lonnie R. Rose Obituary

Lonnie R. Rose, 75, of Bethel, passed away at 10:07 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, at his home. He was born in Dayton, on October 9, 1949, to the late Delmon and Anna (Halsey) Rose. He married the former Juanita Carmack, on April 2, 1989, and she survives.

He is also survived by four children: Heather (John) Steffes, Lonnie Rose Jr., Ginger Bryant, and Geannie Rose; two grandchildren: Alexander White, and Brooklyn Steffes; brother, Don (Peggy) Rose; and sister-in-law, Barb Rose. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Rose.

Lonnie is a man who thrives on outdoor adventures, spending his free time deer hunting, mushroom hunting, and fishing. He has a deep appreciation for nature, enjoying the challenge of tracking game, searching for the perfect mushrooms, or casting a line in peaceful waters. When he’s not outdoors, Lonnie’s passion shifts to sports. He’s a die-hard Cincinnati Reds fan, following the team closely throughout the season. In the fall, his focus turns to the Cincinnati Bengals, rooting for his team and hoping for a Super Bowl win. Lonnie is also a big supporter of University of Cincinnati basketball, watching the Bearcats with pride each season. Beyond sports and the outdoors, he enjoys playing the lottery, finding excitement in the chance to win big, all while staying connected to the things he loves most.
