Michelle Bearden completed her walk of life here on earth Monday, October 14, 2024, at the age of 69. Michelle was born November 26,1954, in Chattanooga TN, to Anna Jean McCoy and Melvin McCoy. She was a graduate of Howard High School, class of 1972. Michelle was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of her community and church family leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Michelle was predeceased by both her parents, Anna Jean McCoy and Melvin McCoy, and (sister) Deborah Manghane.
Michelle leaves behind six of her siblings, her twin sister, Melanie Goldstein and sister, Donna McCoy; 4 brothers, David McCoy, Melvin McCoy, Martin McCoy, and Michael McCoy. Michelle also leaves behind her three daughters whom she loved dearly, Stephanie McCoy, Charlyn McCoy, and Lolita McCoy; her grandchildren, Gary Tarpkin Jr, Johnnie Lee Sanders, III, Dantay McCaully, Talitha Moore, Joshua Beck, and Akeema Wigfall; her great grandchildren; spiritual mother, Louise Herd and spiritual daughter, Sharon Espey; along with countless family and friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
Public viewing will begin at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the funeral home. An 11:00 AM celebration of life will be held, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Church of the First Born, located 3418 St. Elmo Avenue, Chattanooga.
Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
