Germaine S. Shaffer, age 82, of Chillicothe, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at her home.
Germaine was born on July 30, 1942 in Peoria, IL to Waldo and Susan (Descamps) Black. She married Ronald J. Shaffer on June 18, 1960 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2005. Also preceding her in death are her parents; her brother, Ronald Black; and her daughter, Kimberly Watkins.
Surviving are her son, Kenneth Shaffer of Chillicothe; Her grandchildren, Jessica Watkins and Brooke Kramer; and her great-grandchildren, Ethan Steinseifer and Jensyn Gustafson.
Germaine was a dog groomer from 35 years. She absolutely loved animals! She was also a member of the local Humane Society. Germaine also loved spending time with her family.
Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
