Carol L. Pyle, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14th, 2024, at Hospice of the Chesapeake at the age of 77. Born on Thursday, March 13th, 1947, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Carol led a life rich in love, family, and service to her community.
Carol dedicated her life to education, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Maryland. She spent many influential years as a nurturing pre-school teacher at Mt. Carmel Pre-School, where she helped lay the foundation for countless young lives before retiring. Her passion for teaching and her warm, caring nature left a lasting impact on her students and their families.
Carol had a zest for life, enjoying the simple pleasures of traveling and cooking, which she shared graciously with her friends and family. Her laughter and love will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Amy Pyle-Welzenbach and her husband Bill; her devoted son, Tim A. Pyle; her cherished sister, Lois Stuart; and her adored grandson, Paul Welzenbach. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Charles Fender; her mother, Viola Fender; and her dear spouse, of 36 years Theodore Pyle.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the evening visitation at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Thursday, October 17th, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A private burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
