Marvietta Latrice McKnight Obituary

Marvietta Latrice McKnight went home to the Lord Monday, October 14, 2024. She was born to Marvin Leonard Jones and Joanne Louise Williams Jones on Sunday, February 9, 1964.

A Time to Serve: Marvette was a dedicated servant of Jehovah and symbolized her dedication through water baptism in her young teenage years. Marvette helped many others learn about Jehovah and assisted them in becoming his servants. She wanted everyone to know about her faith and never hesitated to share the love she had for Jehovah and his promises of life without pain and suffering in the New World.

A Time of Life: Marvietta "Marvette" had a heart full of love and compassion for everyone. Not only was she a devoted wife and mother. She held a strong love for music. Her talents included not only writing but she also sang and produced her own songs. As a young child Marvette had an ear for music and could play the piano by ear. She also played the flute in school and held a first chair position. She did not keep this talent all to herself. Both of her sons are blessed with this gift and share a love for music creations.

A Time of Peace: Loving memories will forever be cherished by her loving husband, Michael A. McKnight; two loving children, James Edward (Nicole) Greene and Michael "Mikey" McKnight all of Atlanta, GA; Loving father; Marvin L. Jones; (Proceeded in Death) Mother JoAnne L. Jones; three loving siblings; Debra LorRaine Jones, Jan Dionne (Michael) Smith (Atlanta, GA), Jeromy DyTjuan (Esoterica) Jones (Greensboro, NC); two loving grandchildren: Kori and Gianna Greene; a host of nieces and nephews; Sequoria D. Thomas, Craig B. Thomas, Aniyah J. Jones, Christopher D. Jones, Kelsie L. Jones, Jazmine D. Jenkins, Marcus L. Bloxton, Essence G. Jones, Kamille L. Jones and Olivia J. Jones; close and dearest friends, Dajaneshia Benyard, Amanda Rowe, Shaunda Pettway and Yolanda Hood; and a host of cousins and friends from all over, who loved her dearly.

A private family graveside service was held.
