Rodman Rodell "Johnny" Hogan Obituary

Rodman R. “Johnny” Hogan, born on November 19, 1930, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, October 14, 2024. Johnny worked as a police officer for the City of Roanoke for 33 years.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Dottie Mae Hogan; brother, Clifton (June) Hogan; brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Shirley) Brickey and Michael Todd.


He is survived by his loving wife of 73 1/2 years, Betty Jean Hogan; daughter, Debby (Brad) Grose; granddaughter Mandy (Marcus) Fullen; sisters-in-law, Ann (Donnie) Burton and Sandra Todd; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jean and Marie St. Fleur.


The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 16, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, at Simpson Funeral Home, Peters Creek. A Chapel Service will be hold on Thursday, October 17 at 11:00 am at Simpson Funeral Home, Peters Creek Road Chapel. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, immediately following the service.
