Myrna Manti, 98, of Owatonna, died Monday, October 14, 2024, at the Benedictine Living Community.
She was born June 1, 1926 in New Ulm, to the late Leo and Alice Thomas Williams. She was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church. She graduated from New Ulm High School. Floyd and Myrna were united in marriage on October 5, 1947 at Cambria Federated Church in Cambria. They resided on a farm in Deerfield Township for over 60 years. Myrna was an excellent seamstress. She made many bridesmaid dresses as well as alterations. She also enjoyed cooking, canning, and baking, especially apple and pumpkin pies. Floyd and Myrna enjoyed traveling, fishing and gardening. They were always together. They spent many hours with family and friends and always had the coffee pot on.
Surviving is a niece, Lori Wigley of North Mankato; a great niece, Amanda (Chad) Hewitt of North Mankato and great, great nephews, Cameron and Colsen Hewitt of North Mankato; special friend, Janice (Marci) Born of Morristown.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd; brothers, Ronald Williams and David Williams; sisters, Gertrude (Edward) Wigley and Gladys Williams; nephew, Ronnie Wigley; special friend, Joan Johnson.
Family will receive friends Friday, October 18th from 10 am to 11am at St. John Lutheran Church, Owatonna, with services to follow at 11 am. Myrna will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault at 2 pm.
