Deborah A. “Debbie” Gatts, age 76 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 7, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas R. & Gloria F. (Slifer) Gatts.

Debbie graduated from the West Carrollton High School Class of 1966. She was a former Fire Fighter and Paramedic for the City of West Carrollton, and a former Bus Driver for the West Carrollton City Schools. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband John Peters, and by her infant daughter Rebecca Ann Kuhns.

She is survived by her loving family: daughter Gloria N. “Nicci” (Blair) Marinelli, her son Chris Gatts and wife Amanda, stepson Scott Peters and wife Gretchen, her brother Eddie Gatts, her son-in-law Rick Marinelli, the loves of her life 3 grandchildren Stephanie Sliemers, Alec Sliemers & Schuyler Marinelli and wife Alycia, fur baby “Sissy” as well as other relatives and friends.

At Debbie’s request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gloria N. “Nicci” Marinelli, C/O Swart Funeral Home, 207 E. Central Ave., West Carrollton, to assist the family with expenses.
