Teddy Nathan Tway Obituary

Born February 8, 1948, to Rollin Tway and Marjorie (Householder) Tway, Ted Tway passed October 14, 2024. He died peacefully at home, in his sleep, surrounded by loved ones. Per his request he saw the sun rise over the hills until the very end.

Ted lived life on his own terms. After being drafted into the Army, he made the best of it and advanced to Sergeant. After Vietnam, his varied career path included farming hogs, cruising and cutting timber as well as being a founding member of Ohio’s first internet-based school system. Ted was a passionate astronomer. He built two telescopes by hand. Ted was an avid fisherman and mushroom hunter. He enjoyed traveling, having visited some of the most beautiful places in our country, he still called Ross County home. Ted loved simple things like tinkering with a project, taking a drive through Tar Hollow and listening for the first peepers of spring.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, brother Steve Tway, sister Ronda Pauley, and daughter Kimberly Harter.

Ted’s remaining family includes his children, Nicole (Shawn) Davis, Nathan (Amy) Tway, Courtney (Tyler) Trimble, and Todd (Marti) Reed with whom he had just recently reunited. Also included are grandchildren Jayden Davis, Taraji Fultz, Kora Trimble, Rylan and Madison Reed, Conner and Kylie Murray.

In keeping with his wishes there will not be a funeral or graveside service. The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
