Debra-Lee S. Sinkus, 59, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on July 9, 1965, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Lee “Bud” Smeltzer and Lois Jane (Colyer) Smeltzer, who is surviving at her home in Pleasant Gap. On September 12, 1987, she married her beloved husband, Christopher Sinkus, who survives at home after sharing 37 years of marriage together.
Debra was a 1983 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. She worked as the AG Administrator at Penn State University for over 25 years until her retirement.
In addition to her husband, Christopher, and mother, Lois, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed making crafts in her free time and was an avid dog lover. Debra was a strong advocate for Relay for Life for many years. She made it a point to live her life to the fullest and found the most joy in helping others.
Funeral and burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
