José Cerritos, de 77 años, falleció el lunes en Wayne U.N.C. Era hijo del fallecido Antonio Serrano y Marta Cerritos y estaba casado con Gloria Beltrand Cerritos.  José era un antiguo empleado de la funeraria Shumate-Faulk y le encantaba divertirse y reír, bailar y jugar al billar.

Un servicio para celebrar la vida de José se llevará a cabo el miércoles a las 6:00 p.m. en la capilla de la Funeraria Shumate-Faulk. La familia recibirá a los amigos después del servicio.

Además de su esposa, a José le sobreviven sus hijos, Nelson Cerritos y su esposa, Elizabeth y Beatriz Ruiz; hermanos, Antonio Ávalos, Marta Ávalos, Guadalepe Santos y Elmer Ávalos; y nietos, Adelina Cerritos, Faith Cerritos, Michael Portillo y Sara Carter.

José Cerritos, 77 passed away Monday at Wayne U.N.C. He was the son of the late Antonio Serrano and Marta Cerritos and was married to Gloria Beltrand Cerritos.  Jose was a past employee of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and loved to have fun and laugh, dance, and play pool.

A service to celebrate Jose’s life will be held on Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.

In addition to his wife, Jose is survived by his children, Nelson Cerritos and wife, Elizabeth and Beatriz Ruiz; siblings, Antonio Avalos, Marta Avalos, Guadalepe Santos, and Elmer Avalos; and grandchildren, Adelina Cerritos, Faith Cerritos, Michael Portillo, and Sara Carter.
