Sybil Hill, a beacon of faith and love, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, at the age of 85, in Ball Ground, GA. Born on June 16, 1939, in the Yellow Creek Community, Sybil's lifelong dedication to her faith was evident to all who knew her. A faithful member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church, Sybil fervently served the Lord, cherished her church community, and devoted herself to her family. Her commitment to spiritual service shone brightly through her outreach efforts at Via De Cristo and Kairos Outside Religious retreats.

Those who knew Sybil will remember her as a loving and faith-filled individual, as well as an avid reader who took great joy in family vacations at the beach. Her unwavering commitment to her beliefs, her loving heart, and the care she showed to others will forever be etched in the memories of those she touched. Sybil Hill's legacy is one of unwavering love and steadfast faith.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Martin; granddaughter, Alex Welch; great-grandson, Jordon Cooper; parents, Red and Lillie Roper; and brothers, Billy Roper, Larry Roper and Harry Roper. Sybil is survived by her daughters, Lisa Quinton (Dale), Sarah Cheshire and Mandy Mull; grandchildren, Chassidy Chumley (Jackie), Candace Burden, Cale Quinton, Raven Welch, Nick Mull (Paige), Jesse Cheshire, Anthony Hill, Sierra Mull, Sunshine Norwell and Cassondra Herrington (Scott); twenty-one great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Barrett (Elmer), Joan Robb and Susan Williams; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Sylvester Ridings, Rev. Evan Howell and Rev. Chris White officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 15th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16th from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Roper, Sean Robb, Jackie Chumley, Billy Roper, Chris Padgett and Cale Quinton. Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Hill and Nick Mull.
