Mary Dee Mitchell, 88, of Paris, Texas passed away Monday, October 14, 2024.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2024, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel.  Brother Doug Wintermute will officiate, with internment to follow at Lake Creek Cemetery.  Family will receive friends and family one hour prior to services.  Come and go visitation, Thursday, October 17, 2024 from noon to 5 p.m.

Pallbearers are Clifton Mitchell, Danny Wall, Braiden Petty, Braxton Wall, Grayson Wall, Brett Crawford, Brennon Wall, and Eli Mitchell.

Mary Dee was born in Lake Creek, Texas, June 27, 1936 to Cliffie Dee and Mary Robbie (Robbins) Jackson.  They preceded her in death as well as her husband Hoyle LaFray, brother Ray Jackson and daughter Shelby Scarborough.

Mary Dee married LaFray on February 14, 1954, in Lake Creek, Texas.  She was involved in many activities and organizations over the years, including Cub Scout Den Mother, Band Booster Officer for six years, Church Affairs, Circle II and Officer, Delta County Child Welfare, Charter Member and Officer, School Affairs and Volunteering as a Teachers Aid for many years, Little League Officer, Red Cross Director for Delta County, Jr. Afflatus and Officer, PTA and Officer, Delta County Club Director, Delta County Chamber of Commerce Director.

Survivors include her daughter:  Netti Mitchell of Paris, Texas.  Sons:  Berk Mitchell of Lake Creek, Texas, Scot Mitchell and wife Kelli of Giddings, Texas.  Son-in-Law:  Rick Scarborough of Midlothian, Texas.  Grandchildren:  Chaney, Krin (Jeremy), Kristen, Charla (Danny), Clifton (Megan), Tyler.  Great Grandchildren:  Cryslin (Jefferson), Braiden, Kaylie, Jaycie, Calissa, Brenna, Braxton, Brett, Grayson, Brennon, Eli, Evan, Emersyn, Laker, Maylee.  Great Great Grandchild:  Jayden.  Sister:  Gail Smiddy.
