Margarita Gonzalez Obituary
Margarita Gonzalez passed away at the Fishkill Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on October 14, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico on September 1, 1934 to the late Medin and Virginia (Alvarez) Gonzalez.
Margarita loved helping others. Even when she was retired, she loved to help prepare coffee and desserts for the residents of her senior living house. She would even cook for the maintenance crew. Feeding people brought her joy. Margarita also enjoyed her bingo nights with friends, and had a keen eye for decorating. She loved listening to music and dancing!
Surviving are her 5 children: Margarita Reyes, Sandra Barr and her husband Patrick, Mayra Reyes, Milagros Wilson, and Mayte Ramos;13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Margarita was predeceased by her son Cesar Reyes.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday October 17, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 18, 2024 at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home.
