Francis John Timmins, 89, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Monday, October 14, 2024, at the home of his daughter.
Born Saturday, December 22, 1934, in Madison, NJ, he was the son of the late Andrew J. Timmins and the late Mary (Sullivan) Timmins. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Martha Timmins.
Frank graduated from Bayley Ellard High School in Madison, NJ in 1953, and later graduated from University of St. Louis with a degree in engineering. He was first employed with Curtiss Wright Corp., and later was employed with Mack Truck Inc. retiring after many years of service. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church since 1971. B.P.O. Elks Lodge 378, MISGA, Beaver Creek Country Club. Past member of the Eagles Inc. of Waynesboro, PA.
Frank loved to play poker with his long time card playing friends. He loved to go on cruises with his wife. Frank was a very loving, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle and he will greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa A. Mimnall and husband Michael, Kathleen F. O'Loughlin and husband Michael and Nancy J. Walker and husband Barry, brother, Andrew L. Timmins, sister, Mary Lou Malo, granddaughter, Jessica Power and husband Jaimeson, grandson, Christopher Mimnall and wife Jessica, grandson, Thomas O'Loughlin, grandson, Patrick O'Loughlin and wife Michelle, granddaughter, Colleen O'Loughlin, granddaughter, Abby Walker and husband Anuarth Bautista, grandson, Alan Walker and wife Morgan, and his ten great grandchildren, Jaimeson Power, Grace Power, Tierra Mimnall, Cody Mimnall, Maddox Walker, Audrey Bautista, Felix Bautista,Valerie Bautista, Sasha Walker and Kieran Walker and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Hospice of Washington County, especially Stephanie and Bebe for their compassionate care.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:00 am, at the St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Avenue Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. Msgr. J. Bruce Jarboe as celebrant.
Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
