Jody Nyle Henderson was 63 years old, son of the late Frank Kenneth Henderson and the late Ann J. Henderson, went to his Creator and Lord on September 27, 2024. He grew up in the Chesnee, SC, community, resided in CA, UT, NV, NC and TX, then returned to Chesnee in 2018. He attended Chesnee High School and Spartanburg Community College prior to joining the U.S. Air Force to serve his country.
Jody is survived by three children, Austin Tyler Henderson of NV, Auburn Taylor Henderson of CA, and Ethan Connor Henderson of UT; two sisters, Kathy Henderson Cook (Richard) of Chesnee and Kristi Henderson Walker (David) of Chesnee; and eight nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Michael Kenneth Henderson.
Jody loved each day as it was and lived in each day. He was a free spirit and never met a stranger. He was a victim of Hurricane Helene as it passed through Swannanoa, NC. His final days were in a log cabin with his beloved dog Bullet by the Swannanoa River with a view of God's beautiful creation surrounding him as he made new friends. Bullet was adopted by one of those new friends, Chelsea of Maryland, who rescued Bullet from the flooding.
