Francis E. Kenney Obituary

Francis Eugene “Gene” Kenney, 68, of Newport, Ohio passed away at his home on October 14, 2024. He was born July 24, 1956 in Antioch, Ohio to Robert Fulton and Edith Delores (Loveall) Kenney . He attended River High School and graduated in 1975. He married his high school sweetheart, Tambra Jo Moore on July 21, 1979. Gene was employed by RJF International/ProFusion Industries for 37 years where he was known as “Skinny” by his co-workers and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids who called him Pappaw, and watching the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Fly, Ohio where he served on the Deacon board. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tammy Kenney, daughter Alanna (Cody) Heiney of Newport, Ohio, son Adam (Taylor) Kenney of Pickerington, Ohio. Granddaughters Kaylen and Kendall Heiney of Newport, Ohio and grandson Aizek Kenney of Pickerington, Ohio. Brothers and sisters, Robert Kenney, Jr., Joyce Stollar, Linda (Fred) Stoehr, Kathy (Jim) Eckleberry, Connie (Kevin) Norris, Gary (Melynda) Kenney, David Kenney, Timothy (Shirley) Kenney, and William (Michelle) Kenney, sister-in-law Trina (Randy) Jackson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sandra Resecker, sister-in-law Carol Kenney and in-laws Dewey and Shirley Moore. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 18, 2024 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Fly, OH., with Rev. Dave Michael officiating, burial to follow in Mehrley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, OH., from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Online condolences may be made at www.hadleyfh.com
