Born on May 7, 1949, in Margaretville, Stephanie was the beloved daughter of the late Edwin Lee France and Marilyn Johnson. Her life was a testament to love, family, and community, leaving a warm feeling in the heart that will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
In her professional life, Stephanie was a dental assistant and a billing specialist for over 30 years at Pine Street Dental. She enjoyed her time working there and developed close connections with coworkers and patients alike. In former years as a school bus driver, she formed bonds with the kids she drove and was a trusted confidant. This sentiment is a testament of how she made people feel cared and loved for. In addition, she was also privy to the ongoings at school .
Stephanie had many hobbies throughout her life. She was a ski instructor and ballet skier. In addition, she loved water skiing. Stephanie also worked a life of luxury for a couple years as a chef on a schooner boat named the Harvey Gamage that traversed the Virgin Islands. She was a lover of the ocean and loved to scuba dive. Stephanie was a talented quilter and an avid gardener, well known for her beautiful creations. There weren't many things that Stephanie couldn't do, anything she set her heart on she accomplished, she could even fly planes and the list goes on...
Stephanie loved camping, kayaking, hiking and fishing with her family, and playing games. Farkle was a family favorite and she often won. Stephanie also loved cooking all things delicious for her family and friends.
Stephanie was a strong, kind and caring woman who left an impression on all those around her. She will forever be remembered and missed. Stephanie's heart was always with her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Kevin Tyler, with whom she shared a life full of love and mutual respect. Together, they raised three daughters—Jennifer, Heather, and Heidi— Her love for her family extended to her three grandchildren, Brandon, Lily, and Samantha, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride. Stephanie's sisters, Linda Joyce of Shokan, her twin sister Deborah Crupper of SC, and Susan France of UT, will remember her as a guiding light and a source of unwavering support.
