Brian L. Coppus, 50, of Arcadia and formerly of Bascom, passed away Monday afternoon, October 14, 2024 at Bridge Hospice in Findlay after a two year battle with cancer.

He was born on February 03, 1974, in Fostoria, Ohio, to Richard and Connie (Brickner) Coppus.  On November 02, 2002, he married June Main.

Survivors include his parents, Richard and Connie Coppus of Tiffin; wife, June Coppus of Arcadia; son, Cole (Elly Falter) Coppus of Cleveland; sister, Andrea (Greg) Hoerig of Tiffin; Godfather & Uncle, Mike (Karen) Coppus of Bascom; aunts and uncles, David and Sandy Coppus of Bascom, Roger Coppus of Fostoria, Kenneth and Debra Coppus of Fostoria, John and Laurie Coppus of Fostoria, Janet Strausbaugh of Upper Sandusky, Pat Brickner of Florida; and Greg Ozarzak of Cincinnati; nephews, Jack and Luke Hoerig; mother-in-law, Janet Main of Fostoria; and brother-in-law, Jay (Tasha) Frankart of Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by his aunt, Elaine Ozarzak; and sisters-in-law, Jan Frankart and Joy Frankart.

Brian was a 1992 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School.  He worked at Beerco and at B & M Machine in New Riegel for several years.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Riegel Moose Lodge 872 and the Sportsman Club in Fostoria..  Brian enjoyed snowmobiling in Michigan, driving and cleaning his Ford truck, hanging out with friends in his garage, cold beer and being a member of the “Bascom Bad Boys”.

His Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass.  Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Bascom.
