Arlene Marie Buchfink, 87, passed peacefully on October 13, 2024. Arlene was the first born child to Georgetta and Sylvester Gonzales.
Arlene attended schools in Hardin. After graduation she met and married Edwin Buchfink. They had five children who were the light of their lives: Eddy Wayne, Georgean, Athena, Holly and Chris. Arlene was a talented seamstress, gardener and cook. She was never without a kitty or two or four.
In her later years she spent a great deal of time reading and praying for her family.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, her children, Eddy Wayne, Georgean, Athena, Holly and Chris, her granddaughters, Erica Vandersloot and Jessica Whalen, her sisters, Mary Gonzales and Connie Shomer, and her brother-in-law, Shawn Erickson.
Arlene is survived by her grandson Cord Prunty, her granddaughter Cristina and several great grandchildren; her sisters, Rita (Gene) Herman, Laura Hochhalter (Merle Johns), Sylvia Erickson and Theresa (Ken) Nedens; her brothers, Richard (Donna) and David Gonzales, her uncle George Chavez and many nieces and nephews.
