Alicia “Eia” Marlene Patterson, 64 of Salem passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Genesis Salem Center surrounded by her family.  She was born May 30, 1960 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Clifford Gerald and Georgia Beatrice Glenda Utter Bumgardner.

Alicia is survived by her husband of 20 years, Mark Alan Patterson, whom she married on October 16, 2004.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her stepdaughter, Nancy Davisson and spouse Zach of Clarksburg; God Children, Deban Clevenger and Kylie Clevenger; grandchildren, Rhett Davisson and Hattie Davisson; siblings, Deborah Snyder and spouse William “Buzzy” of West Milford, Judy Gains and spouse Harold of Sun Valley, Forest “Lynn” Henning and spouse Robert of Laurel Valley, and Marvin “Marty” Casto and spouse Donna of Morgantown; special friend, Brittany Snider; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Alicia was preceded in death by two siblings, Clifford Bumgardner and Linda Sue “Susie” McCune.

Alicia graduated from South Harrison High School. She worked as the head of HR at Genesis Salem Center with 33 years of service. She was an avid reader who enjoyed reading her Bible, along with listening to audio books. Alicia was very creative and turned her creativity to life by journaling and scrapbooking. She likes lighthouses, dogs, cats, collecting purses, and pens.  She was a faithful member of Salem Baptist Church and was very fond of her church family as well as Reverend Will Kniceley.
