Maryann Lehane Daly City, California Obituary

Maryann Lehane

Maryann (Mickey) Lehane 04/23/29 - 08/12/18 Mickey was peacefully released from the ravages of Alzheimers on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Alma Via of San Francisco. Mickey was wife to Michael William Lehane (dec.); mother to Sandra Lehane Dimos (dec.) (Ted), Coleen Lehane Dillon (Michael), and Michael Anthony Lehane; grandmother to Ashley Dillon Martens (Brad), Kelly Lehane, Patrick Lehane, and Megan Dillon. She was also great-grandmother to Wyatt Allyn Martens. Mickey was sister to Paul Mullan (dec.), John Mullan (dec.) (Joyanna Mullan, dec.); and Carole Mullan Lemoi; also aunt to many nieces and nephews, and by friendly extension, grandmother to Molly Gallagher Hannah. She was a life long resident of Noe Valley -growing up on Elizabeth Street and eventually raising her own family on Noe Street and attended St. Phillips Grammar School and St. Pauls High School, where she took an active role as an alumnus of both schools. She will be remembered for her years of service at Most Holy Redeemer Church and Grammar School for her beautiful decorations for fashion shows, dances, and major events, and for the altar flower arrangements. Mickey worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance ("The Met"), Paoli Furniture in the San Francisco Furniture Mart, Guntren Insurance, and Anchor Realty. Mickey will be remembered as a loving, highly creative, and compassionate woman, who never turned anyone away. The word "no" rarely, if ever, passed her lips. If you needed help, she was there for you. We will all miss her beautiful presence and loving heart. The family would like to thank the staff of Alma Via of SF where mom lived for the last nine years. In particular, we are eternally grateful for her major caregivers: Nora Bennett and Oliver Galupo, and the Memory Care Director: Josie Davis. Their commitment to Mickey went above and beyond simply caring for her needs. They genuinely enjoyed her company and treated her like family. Additionally, we would like to thank the nurses and staff of Vitas Health Care for their hospice services. Again, their kindness and compassion ensured comfort and care. Services will be held on Saturday, September 8 at Duggans Serra Mortuary at 500 Westlake Avenue in Daly City. Visitation begins at 10:00 with a Catholic Memorial Service starting at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution to the Alzheimers Association in Mickeys memory at alz.org. Funeral Home: Duggan's Serra Mortuary 500 Westlake Ave. Daly City, CA US 94014
