Tammy was born August 2, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Rudolph “Rudy” and Linda (Robinson) Wipperman. She was raised in Dallas Center, Iowa, was a 1983 graduate of Dallas Center-Grimes High School, and achieved a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in 1987. Tammy married Douglas “Doug” Pullin on June 27, 1987. They lived the past 23 years on their beautiful Adel acreage.

Tammy worked for Dallas County Iowa for the last 13 years. She spent the past 7 years as Office Manager for the County Engineer & Roads Department. Retiring in February of 2024, Tammy loved supporting her many loyal co-workers. She served on the board of directors of the Iowa County Engineer’s Office Association where Tammy served as President from 2018 to 2019.

Tammy enjoyed exploring nature and its many miracles. Her meticulously maintained flower gardens provided the beauty for the family acreage. Tammy enjoyed traveling. Among her favorite destinations were the Rocky Mountains, western National Parks, Florida, Alaska, Lake of the Ozarks, the Virgin Islands, and Iceland. Tammy and Doug were avid bicyclists and hikers, enjoying countless biking & hiking adventures both near and far away. She was a loyal Iowa State Cyclone. Tammy loved animals to a fault, caring relentlessly for her beloved horses Rocky and Sonny as well as countless dogs and cats.

Tammy was at the same time joyful, sweet, warm, loving, kind, welcoming, sincere, fun, and humble. Her infectious smile brightened everyone around her. Tammy was the consummate daughter, sister, spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend. A rare soul, she was universally loved by all who had the fortune to know her. Tammy was one of God’s beautiful creations both inside and out. She was one of a kind - a true angel on earth.

Above all, Tammy was passionate about her faith and family. She was a devoted disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ, a lifelong church member, and participant in many church committees, prayer groups, etc. She adored and lovingly nurtured her two children, Tyler and Travis, who both acquired their mother’s best qualities. The boys blessed Tammy with three beautiful grandchildren who immediately became the light of her life. “Grandma Tammy” relentlessly showered her grandbabies with love, cuddles, and fun.
