It is with heavy hearts that the family of Carole A. (Usher) Parenti, 77, of Wolcott, announce her passing on September 29, 2024 peacefully at her home surrounded by her husband, Gary Parenti, Sr. and sons Gary, Jr. and Michael. Born on May 28, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Olin and Helen (Gorman) Usher. In her early years while raising a family Carol worked at TRW and Nuchies in Forestville, Ct. She then managed their family business Parenti’s Carpet Cleaning. Carole was loved by many in the community. Carol enjoyed life itself and always put family first. She had many passions including cooking for her family and friends, always entertaining around the holidays. She truly enjoyed boating and traveling to see lighthouses. She had a love for flowers and red roses were her favorite. She was spontaneous and spunky and always said anyone is welcome no matter what time of day. Besides her husband Gary, Carole leaves two sons and daughters-in-law Gary, Jr. and Michelle Parenti of Wolcott, CT and Michael and Tammy Parenti of Cape Coral, FL; a brother Ronald Usher of Plymouth, CT; a sister Hazel Wilson of Holiday, FL; four grandchildren Brandon (Marissa), Brianna, Edward, and Todd; three great grandchildren Malia, Isla, and Jayden “JJ”, and many nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her son Edward Scott, her brothers Sonny, Richard, Donny, Jimmy, and Bobby, and her sisters Edna, Grace, Joanie, Helen “Skinny”, and Linda. A funeral mass will be held Friday, October 18, at 11am, at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemtery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held Friday morning from 9:00-10:00am at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol.
