Peacefully at Extendicare, Oshawa, with her family by her side, Janet was called home to be with the Lord on September 29th, 2024.
Born in Friesland, The Netherlands, she was the beloved daughter of the late Sjoerd Vander Meulen and Grietje Vander Meulen (Kooistra)
Loving sister to Alice (the late Glenn), John (the late Mary) and Florence (the late Danny).
Cherished by her nieces, nephews Susan (Will), Mark, Wendy, Mike (Sarah) and great nephews Liam, Luke and Levi.
Family and friends will be received at the W. C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East in Whitby on Saturday October 12, 2024 from 11:00am-12:00pm at which time a service will be held in the chapel. Interment at Groveside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Janet’s memory may be made to Emmanuel Reformed Church, Whitby.
