Star ‘Ostara’ was born on Easter Sunday in 2012. Her momma Kali was a feral kitty who adopted us when she must have knows she would need help with this litter. Star and her brother Al ‘Aries’ were the first born, and then Kali needed to have a cesarean to give birth to the rest. While the other were placed in loving homes, Kali was so connect with Star and Al, we kept the little family together.

Star lived inside, really had no interest in the outdoors, but really loved to watch our little Pomeranians. I think she thought of herself more as a little dog than a cat. She was affectionate, opinionated, and loved to eat. She especially loved Temptations and would work at her cat puzzles for hours to fish every one of those treats out. We recently began spending more time out on the deck, listening to birds, and also lullabies made for cats ( on YouTube) She was fascinating with the purring, and would purr along with the music. She groomed herself, and always looks beautiful, but really loved to be brushed and have a new collar every now and again.

Her momma died last year of cancer, and so she and Al became even closer. She died peacefully in her bed, on Sunday September 29, 2024. Her brother Al is grieving her, but sometimes I think he can still see and sense her, as he shifts into conversation mode when he is by himself in their room. We all miss her very loud purring, her biscuits on our laps, and her beautiful face. See you again someday beautiful Star.
