Douglas J. Upton, known affectionately as "Doug," passed away on September 29, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on June 16, 1934, in Minneapolis, he was a lifelong resident of Minnesota.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Mary of Plymouth, MN; his brother, Stephen Upton (Pamela) of Boone, NC; his children, Thomas Upton of Mound, Joan Weir of Maple Grove, Jane Upton of San Luis Obispo, CA, Kathleen Nelson (Christopher) of Victoria, MN, and Jerome Upton (Cindy) of Park Rapids, MN. He was also a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Margaret Upton, his brother, Glenn Upton, and sister, Mary Gavin.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 -11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Maple Grove, MN.
