SANTA FE – Mrs. Alice Elizabeth Masten passed from this life Sunday afternoon, September 29, 2024, in League City.

Born July 22, 1941, in Deridder, Louisiana, Mrs. Masten had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1981. She was the proud owner of Munchies and was a cook at several other restaurants for over 50 years. Alice was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Council #3789 where she had served in the past as Madam President. She enjoyed cooking, loved animals but enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids more than anything.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Stella (Fowler) Utterbeck; husband, Floyd Thomas Masten and brother, James Utterbeck.

Survivors include her son, Darrell Entgelmeier; grandchildren, Stella Marie Entgelmeier, Melissa Sue Masten Entgelmeier, James Darrell Masten Entgelmeier and 9 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.
