Douglas Allen Loso Obituary

Douglas Allen Loso, 56 of Colchester, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 29th, 2024.

He was born in Burlington, Vermont, January 17th, 1968, to Inda (Cerutti) and Bernard Loso. Doug graduated from Colchester High School in 1987.

Throughout his short life Doug worked in a variety of fields. His most recent employment was in Colchester for USPS. Prior to that he spent many years driving school bus. He thoroughly enjoyed the children of all ages and driving charter trips for area colleges, weddings, etc.

Doug was a lover of all things nature, especially birds. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being in the outdoors, foraging for mushrooms, picking wild berries or simply enjoying the scenery. His favorite place on earth was the family camp on Nelson Pond in Woodbury. Doug had a charisma about him that made him very approachable. He was a very giving individual, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need and a downright gentleman. He thrived on practical joking and had a soft spot for damsels in distress.

Best husband alive is survived by Loving Wife Jennifer; Mother Inda Loso; Father Bernie (Ksenija) Loso; Sister Tammy (Jerome) Brochu; Brothers in Law Patrick Riley, Shawn Riley, Michael (Regina) Riley; Stepdaughters Sarah (Jeremy Driscoll) Couture, Meghan (Adam) Roy, Shelby (Andrew) Lemieux; Step grandchildren Carsen Atkins, Brynn Driscoll, Teddie Rose, Rowdy Roy; Niece Monique Brochu (Michael Maxfield), Nephew Cooper Brochu; Several Aunts, Uncles and cousins; His Blond Dog **Diva**.
