Michael C. Fideler Sr., 60, of Sioux Falls, SD died Monday, September 17, 2018. Visitation begins at 5:00 PM Thursday, September 20 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls, where the family will greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Michael Carl Fideler, son of Michael and Dorothy (Bell) Fideler, was born May 31, 1958 in Sioux Falls, SD. He grew up and received his education in Sioux Falls. Mike worked in various capacities for the Sioux Falls Street Department for 37 years. He retired in 2014. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked using his considerable handyman skills to help others, even helping a friend with combining fields. He loved grilling out with family and friends. Above all, Mike cherished his family, especially his grandkids. Grateful for having shared his life are his fiancée, Jana Schmiesing, Sioux Falls, SD; four children, Michael Fideler Jr., Sioux Falls, SD, Nathan Fideler, Sioux Falls, SD, James Schmiesing and his wife, Arianna, Sioux Falls, SD, Melissa Fideler, Sioux Falls, SD; three grandchildren, Lilly Kraklow, Kamari Fideler, Delayno Shackelford; his mother, Dorothy Fideler, Pipestone, MN; three siblings, Marcy Thormodsgard, Kansas City, MO; Kevin Fideler and his wife, Lucy, Kansas City, MO, Dave Fideler and his wife, Jackie, Sioux Falls, SD; and many other relatives and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael.
